Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
Ice Blast Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Electrical (“Ice Blast”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in connection with our air-conditioning, refrigeration, electrical and related services, our website and our customer communications.
We manage personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to us.
1. Personal information we collect and hold
The personal information we collect depends on how you deal with us and may include:
- your name, email address, phone number and other contact details;
- your service address, building, apartment or lot number and your relationship to the property;
- quote, booking, scheduling, attendance and access information, including appointment preferences and authorised property-manager or building-manager arrangements;
- details about equipment, faults, maintenance history, photographs, service notes and work completed;
- billing, transaction and account information. Payment-card details may be handled by our payment providers and are not necessarily held by Ice Blast;
- communications with us by phone, email, SMS, website form or in person;
- marketing preferences, feedback and complaint information; and
- technical information generated when you use our website, such as IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, referral source, cookies and similar technologies.
Please do not provide keys, alarm codes, access codes or other security credentials through a general website form. Any property-access arrangement must be confirmed separately with Ice Blast and the relevant authorised person.
2. How we collect personal information
We usually collect personal information directly from you when you request a quote, make or express interest in a booking, complete a form, contact us, use our website, engage us to perform work or communicate with our team.
We may also collect information from a person you have authorised, a property owner, tenant, property manager, building manager, body corporate, referral partner, contractor or supplier, and from publicly available sources where lawful and appropriate.
If you provide personal information about another person, you must have authority to do so and, where appropriate, make them aware of this Privacy Policy.
3. Why we collect, use and disclose personal information
We collect, use and disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:
- respond to enquiries and prepare quotes;
- assess, plan, schedule, confirm and deliver services;
- communicate about appointments, access, changes, service outcomes and reminders;
- identify customers and properties, maintain service records and provide customer support;
- process payments, manage accounts and meet tax, insurance, safety and legal obligations;
- manage contractors, suppliers, complaints, risks, fraud prevention and security;
- operate, secure and improve our website, systems, services and customer experience; and
- send relevant service information or marketing where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You may opt out of marketing at any time.
If we cannot collect the information needed for a particular purpose, we may be unable to provide a quote, arrange access, schedule work or deliver the requested service.
4. Watermarque expressions of interest
For the annual Watermarque air-conditioning service, we use registration details to measure demand, group work efficiently by building, prepare the proposed schedule, contact residents or their authorised representatives, understand equipment and access requirements, and send service confirmations and reminders.
Date preferences assist planning but are not guaranteed. A Watermarque submission is an expression of interest and does not become a confirmed appointment until Ice Blast provides confirmation.
5. Who we may disclose information to
We may disclose personal information, where appropriate for the purposes above, to:
- our employees, authorised contractors and professional advisers;
- property managers, building managers, bodies corporate, owners, tenants or other authorised representatives involved in arranging the service;
- providers of job management, customer relationship management, website hosting, cloud storage, email, SMS, communications, payment, accounting, analytics, IT support and cyber security services;
- insurers, regulators, courts, tribunals, law-enforcement bodies or other parties where required or authorised by law; and
- another organisation in connection with a proposed or completed sale, restructure or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information.
6. Overseas disclosure and cloud services
Some technology and cloud service providers we use may store or process personal information outside Australia, including in the United States, or allow authorised support personnel in other countries to access it. Provider locations can change from time to time. Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements.
You may contact us for current information about the countries relevant to a particular service provider or processing activity.
7. Website cookies, analytics and third-party tools
Our website may use cookies, analytics, embedded contact tools and similar technologies to operate correctly, remember preferences, understand website use, measure campaigns, detect misuse and help us respond to enquiries. These technologies may collect technical information and may be provided by third parties under their own privacy terms.
You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling them may affect website functions.
8. Direct marketing
Where permitted, we may use your contact details to tell you about Ice Blast services that may be relevant to you. You can opt out at any time by using an unsubscribe facility, replying to the message, or contacting us. Service and safety messages relating to current work may still be sent when necessary.
9. Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this policy and to meet legal, accounting, warranty, insurance and record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy it securely or de-identify it, subject to lawful backup and archival processes.
If an eligible data breach occurs, we will assess it and notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where required by law.
10. Accessing or correcting your personal information
You may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Contact us using the details below and provide enough information for us to identify you and the relevant records.
We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within a reasonable period. If an exception under applicable law prevents access or correction, we will explain our decision where required.
11. Privacy questions and complaints
If you have a privacy question or believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us using the details below. Please describe the issue and include your preferred contact details. We will acknowledge and investigate the matter and aim to respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, services or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
